1 Study traffic management systems for multiple drones operated by a single pilot
Traffic management systems for multiple drones operated by a single pilot using Remote ID transmit/receive functionality
2 Establish a Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communications system by adapting the Remote IDs communications protocol
Development of a method for ascertaining position information of multiple aircraft by implementing receiving and distance measuring functions in Remote IDs
3 Development of long-distance telemetry system using autonomous decentralized methodology
Enable inter-drone communications for distances up to 10 km using 920 MHz LoRa
4 Development autonomous group traffic management systems based on mutually compensated global and local position information
Implementation of an autonomous detect and avoid system based on Remote IDs and LoRa 920 Mhz communications.
5 Acquire type certificate for Class 1 under the drone certificate system
Acquire type certificate Class 1 to enable Level 4 operation
6 Category II and III one-to-many operation verification tests
Conduct tests in use cases assuming disaster response and logistics using beyond visual line-of-sight (BVLOS) flights.
Final goal (FY2024)
- Start of regular delivery service using multiple drone operation including BVLOS flights such as in mountainous areas
- Implementation of multiple drones operation projects with multiple drones to overcome the shortcomings of drones with short flight times, such as inspections, security, and disaster response.
